ABC hires Campbell Arnotts marketing boss as audience and marketing director
The ABC has hired Campbell Arnotts marketing boss Leisa Bacon to head the public broadcaster’s centralised approach to marketing.
Bacon is the first marketing boss to join the network in several years, an ABC spokesman told Mumbrella.
Her title of audience and marketing director will give the broadcaster a centralised approach to marketing, ABC managing director Mark Scott said in a memo to staff.
Bacon joined Campbell Arnotts last September as marketing director, and she will join the ABC on March 3.
“A centralised approach ensures we use our marketing resources as efficiently as possible to meet increasing challenges in increasing audience engagement, reach and share in a fragmented media market,” Scott said.
Bacon has previously worked with QPAC in Queensland for two years and she was group marketing manager of Coca-Cola for six years until 2011. Bacon’s experience also includes work with Procter and Gamble, Parmalat, Boots Healthcare International and Village Roadshow.
A great appointment!
Well that takes the biscuit.
Time for the broom to go through marketing department at the ABC.
The ABC are lucky to have her. Well done Leisa.
