Oreo’s collaboration with US actress Selena Gomez – a horchata inspired Oreo Cookie – will be made available in Australia from June 25.
The announcement:
After making waves in the U.S and sending social media into a frenzy, the highly anticipated Limited Edition Selena Gomez OREO Cookies are finally coming to Australia – hitting supermarkets nationwide from June 25.
The brand-new OREO cookie brings together Selena’s passions and fandom into one deliciously dunkable bite.
Selena worked closely with the OREO brand to develop a one-of-a-kind sweet-and-spiced flavour combo. Inspired by her love of horchata, these delicious, Limited Edition OREO cookies are chocolate and cinnamon flavoured.
“Making my own OREO cookie was a lot of fun. I grew up loving them, so being able to be a part of the process was a full-circle moment,” said Selena Gomez. “I wanted to find a way for it to feel comforting and have a bit of nostalgia from my childhood. The cinnamon flavour gives it this horchata feel, and I’m excited for my fans to try it.”
In addition to curating her personalised OREO flavour, Selena also created five unique embossments designed with her fans in mind, including one that features Selena’s classic signature — marking the first time the OREO brand has ever put an autograph on an OREO cookie.
“Tapping into Selena’s world – her cultural heritage, creative vision and her dedicated global fan base – brings a new dimension to the OREO brand here in Australia,” said Ben Wicks, Vice President Marketing – Australia and New Zealand. “This collaboration reflects our commitment to innovation and cultural relevance, offering Aussie consumers a unique, limited-edition product that celebrates connection, self-expression and a shared love of playful indulgence.”
The Limited Edition Selena Gomez OREO Cookies will be available in all major Australian supermarkets starting on 25 June. The OREO cookies will begin rolling out at retailers in New Zealand from 7 July, and will be available only for a limited time, while supplies last.
