ADG announces new General Manager

The Australian Director’s Guild announce today that Kingston Anderson will become the new General Manager as of Monday 19 September.

Having worked in the screen industry for over 15 years, Anderson has worked both in management and production.

His production credits include Aftershock (SBS drama), A Frontier Conversation (NITV  documentary), Taxi School (SBS documentary) and Kulka (NITV documentary) as well as work in the theatre for Belvoir St Theatre, Sydney Theatre Company and Melbourne Theatre Company among others.

Anderson said in a statement, “I am very excited to be working for the screen directors of Australia. The ADG is vital in supporting and promoting Australian directors in all forms of screen directing. With screen content now being delivered across a range of platforms, it is increasingly important to ensure that directors receive appropriate recognition and remuneration for their creative work. The excellent work of Australian directors has long been recognised worldwide and the ADG needs to reflect this by becoming a strong, pro-active voice in the Australian screen industry.”
