AFA and AWARD vote for creation of new industry body
AFA and AWARD members have today unanimously voted in favour of the creation of a new industry body in conjunction with the APG, to be called The Communications Council.
The first meeting of the body’s a transitional Board will take place tomorrow, with the agenda to include the election of a chair, the process of integrating the three founding member organisations, budget planning and strategic priorities.
AFA Chairman, Belinda Rowe, claimed the Council would offer “a more influential, unified and stronger voice on issues affecting our industry and our members’ interests”.
The new body will be supported by the tagline “Commercial creativity and connection”.
Terrific. Hopefully this extends to PR industry and and we can bugger off the ineffectually limp lettuce leaf that is the PRIA.
