Doug the stubborn batsman leads Aldi’s Christmas campaign

Aldi has released its 2017 Christmas campaign, created by the budget supermarket’s long-standing creative agency of record, BMF.

The 90 second TVC tells the story of Doug, a stubborn batsman whose backyard cricket innings drew people from far and wide. Eventually the lure of the spread proves too much for Doug, who gives up the cricket to dig into Christmas lunch.

‘The More The Merrier’ campaign leaves the brand until the very end, following in the Christmas ad tradition of companies like John Lewis and David Jones.
