ARIA Charts: Sabrina Carpenter swarms the top five

Sabrina Carpenter has launched her brand new single into the top reaches of the ARIA Singles chart, while her previous hit, Espresso, jumped up a few slots as well.

Please Please Please entered the charts at #4, while Carpenter’s #1 smash Espresso moved from #5 up to #2 this week. It wasn’t enough to dislodge last week’s #1 – Eminem’s comeback hit, Houdini – which sits at the top for a second week.

Close To You by Gracie Abrams, down at #35, was the only other new entry into the charts, while the top 20 remains fairly static.

The Albums chart is a little more interesting this week, with two high new entries.

Charli XCX’s Brat debuted at #3, an impressive entry, but not enough to shift Billie Eilish and Taylor Swift from the top two slots.

Bon Jovi’s 16th studio album, Forever, debuted at #4, off the back of some heavy local press from Jon and co, while lower down Meghan Trainor’s album Timeless entered at #23.

Interestingly, another debut this week shares the title ‘Timeless’ – Canadian rapper Kaytranada, with his Timeless album debuting at #42.
