Arnott’s releases how-to video for camouflaging packets of Tim Tams
Arnott’s has launched a new incarnation of the Truly, Madly Tim Tam campaign, releasing a video that shows how to camouflage a packet of Tim Tams to avoid them getting found and eaten.
Disguises for a packet of Tim Tams include making it look like a book, a pencil case or some chopped sprouts.
Susanna Polycarpou, Arnott’s brand director, told Mumbrella: “The Tim Tam Camouflage packs were inspired by the imaginations of passionate fans who told us they go to extreme lengths to enjoy their Tim Tam biscuits, even hiding them from their loved ones! The video has been a huge success with over 21,000 views on You Tube, and over 2,800 ‘Likes’ and 1300 ‘Shares’ on Facebook.”
The agency behind the campaign was DDB Sydney.
No, inspired by Crunchy Nut Cornflakes and their reversible box earlier this year.
Agree with Lauren, and venturing very closely into Crunchy Nut territory.
I have a craving for organic sprouts now
If chics play Hide the TimTam… Is that like what men play Hide the Sausage?
This is how social media campaigns should be done.
Fun, Simple, Solution Driven.
As marketers we have access to this amazing technology that brings us even closer to our customers than ever before.
Actually listening and interact with customers on a deeper personal level and at their eye level is the only way to establish brand equity.
Flooding with contrived, scheduled newsfeed is so last century but still incredibly prominent.
“The A to B of learning the Harp”, 10/10 would read.
Your move Tim Tam.
No-one’s done a better job of making women feel shit about themselves than us… the marketing/advertising industry.
Ooh.. here’s a low-fat cream cheese/yoghurt/etc that you can eat without feeling guilty. Why the fuck should anyone feel guilty about eating a regular-fat anything?
It’s no wonder women have taken to hiding their tim tams in tampon boxes or behind the quinoa. I’m pretty sure it isn’t because they don’t want to share them. More likely they don’t want to let on they eat them in the first place.
Shouldn’t the credit at the bottom of the article read: The agency behind the Crunchy Nut Cornflakes Campaign was JWT.
Why not hide your tim tams in a packet of Crunchy Nut Cornflakes before thanking JWT for the idea.
Where will you hide your Coolabah?
Yup, blatant rip off of last years ‘Crunchy Nut Reversible Box’ by Tongue (not JWT).
