Aussie pro athletes embrace the outdoors in new campaign by Now Screen

Two Australian female pro athletes are at the forefront of a new Aussie Bodies campaign, encouraging young women to get outdoors and exercise in places other than a gym.

The campaign, by Now Screen, features four executions of Aussie Bodies ambassadors surfer Felicity Palmateer and sprinter Katie Williams exploring different activities at the beach, such as cycling, paddle-boarding and running.

Launched to promote Aussie Bodies’ new Lo Carb Protein Bars, the campaign puts a spin on traditional gym classes such as balance and yoga, urging young women to consider a version of the class outside, at the beach.

Amy Huntley, group marketing manager for Vitaco Health and Aussies Bodies, said the campaign aims to target young women with an active lifestyle.

“We’re speaking to women with an active Aussie lifestyle,” she said.

“They love the outdoors and like to get out and enjoy life. These women might not go to the gym or exercise fanatically, but they’re active, with a sense of humour, and they understand that life is a balance between staying healthy and being happy.”

The out-of-home campaign will roll out over summer on buses, trams, billboards and bus shelters.
