Australia’s Got Talent grand final boosts Seven to Tuesday lead

Australia's Got Talent, MumbrellaThe grand final episode of Australia’s Got Talent knocked Ten’s Masterchef off the number one spot last night, helping to boost Seven’s Tuesday share.

In overall free-to-air TV viewing Seven had a strong lead with a 31.3 per cent channel share, followed by Ten with 24.8 per cent and Nine in third with 22.1 per cent.  

The talent contest was the most-watched show with 1.831m tuning in, followed by Masterchef with 1.69m, according to preliminary overnight OzTam data in the main metro markets.

Australia’s Got Talent’s final episode, when the winner will be announced, will air next Tuesday following a week-long public vote. Last year, the show averaged 1.377m viewers.
