Australia’s top brand Facebook page? Bananas in pyjamas
The most popular branded Facebook page in Australia is for Bananas in pyjamas, according to a new report from digital media agency Online Circle.
The classic kids TV show’s Facebook page comes out ahead of the likes of Pringles, MasterChef, Coca Cola, Neighbours, KFC and McDonald’s with 1.765m fans for the month of October.

In terms of engagement, the telco industry is ahead – this is driven primarily by Vodafone and Telstra’s 24-hour support services, Online Circle reckons.
coca-cola australia has 892k
bananas in pyjamas has 1.9mil
pringles australia has 1.28mil
and this was published today.
@Michael, the report is clear … “October” data.
Tourism Australia’s page currently has 3.8million fans
Telco’s are up because people want to tell them how much they hate them. have you read the comments?
Would Vodafone consider re-branding in Australia?
Australian likes, not international
I wonder how many fake ‘Likes’ have been bought?
Use social bakers, this information is available there as well in case you need it.

I thought Facebook was for users 13 years of age and over to protect the safety of children. Interesting that kids brands are promoting and communicating via facebook.
I used to like them when I was a kid *click*
I used to eat that when i was a kid *click*
I like chips *click*
I am a kid *click*
That’s the top 3. What a timely reminder of how banal and base the social media target audience is on the mass scale. Time for that whole sector of the industry to pull it’s head in.
What is the ABC doing on Facebook. Don’t you have to be 13+ to have an account?
If 13 is the base age group to use FB I ask again… what is the ABC and Bananas in pyjamas doing in this space????
We have our own social tool suite, and although there is much cross-over with this list, there are some Australian pages missing that should have made the top 20. Fan data is for October.
Glee AU – 813k
Bonds – 782k
AFL – 484k
NRL – 478k
To reassure Barry and Michelle and others concerned about kids under 13 using Facebook – the Banansa-in-Pyjamas Facebook page is aimed at parents and carers, not at kids aged under 6.
Not sure how data was collected but triple j (like Bananas in Pyjamas) an ABC brand has 558,865 fans today (& would have had roughly that amount in October) and has been left off the top 20 list… wonder who else has been left off?
