The Bachelor tops night for Ten despite lowest audience of season

The fourth episode of The Bachelor, which saw the dreams of two more hopefuls crushed, was the most watched non-news show last night, pulling a metro audience of 771,000, on a low key ratings night.

The female contestants spent some time getting to know Richie in last night's episode of The Bachelor.

The figure, while the lowest of the season so far, helped Ten capture an audience share of 16%, ahead of Seven with 15.8%. Nine won the night with a share of 18.9%. The Bachelor was also the most watched show in the 25 to 54 and under 55 age demographic.

Richie’s quest for love drew 819,000 on Wednesday night, down slightly on the 824,000 who tuned in for last Thursday’s episode, which according OzTAM, has drawn the highest online seven-day catch-up of 2016, with 102,000.
