The game ran from 7.40pm to almost 11pm and saw Djokovic take the win in three sets. Overall, the night coverage drew an average of 893,000 metro viewers and topped two of the three advertising demographics – 16-39s and 18-49s.

Inequality is alive and well with Tennis Australia. In this day and age the afternoon timing of all the Ladies QFs and SFs is an embarrassment. If you want to inspire a younger Australian generation to tennis showing the world number 1 and young Australian of the year at prime time would be a good start.
