BCM launches ‘world first’ Twebsite

BCM is claiming a world first with the launch of a ‘Twebsite’, using the popular social networking site Twitter as its homepage.  

It follows moves by Boston ad agency, Modernista, which in 2008 used social media sites in favour of creating a traditional company website. When people went onto Google and typed in the agency name they were redirected back to the search engine which displayed a red navigation bar at the left hand corner of the screen.

People used the bar to find articles and information about the agency from sites such as Wikipedia, Facebook, Google News and Flickr.
