The Block winner announcement drops on previous years
Nine had more than 2.18m metro viewers tune in for the winner announcement, marking its lowest audience yet for a finale on the long-running show.
Last year The Block had 2.808m for the winner announcement, a number that was slightly up on the 2.715m it had in 2012, with 3.089m tuning in in 2011. However, it was up by 33,000 on those watching The Block; All Stars which went out at the same time last year.
The Block had 2.156m for the live auction element last night, and the final episode had 1.884m with the pair running from 7.42pm until 9.08pm.
Nine then launched its new US sitcom Mom, with Anna Faris, which rated 1.107m for the first episode and 838,000 for the second. Mom was also fifth in people 25-54, after the three segments of The Block and My Kitchen Rules.
Puberty Blues is such an amazing program. It’s so sad that so many people don’t know what they’re missing.
Agree. I think Puberty Blues is pretty amazing.
It says a lot about Australian audiences when they are watching the likes of cheesy Scott Cam instead of Puberty Blues….
