BMW Group retains Vizeum

BMW has reappointed incumbent media agency Vizeum to its media account, following a six month closed pitch.
Vizeum has held the account, which includes both BMW and Mini brands since 2012.
The initial migration to Vizeum in 2012 came after the acquisition of the Mitchells Communications Group by Aegis.
BMW held a four way pitch, which commenced in March and was managed out of the UK by AuditStar.
Stuart Jaffray, BMW’s general manager of marketing said he appreciated and respected the hard work and thinking from all four pitching agencies.
“It was a close decision, however Vizeum was able to demonstrate a level of thinking and consumer insight that we believe will help us to push our brand forward over the next five years as we launch a range of new Ultimate Driving Machines into the Australia market,” Jaffray said.
It comes two months after BMW appointed Kojo to its experiential account.
Ogilvy currently holds the creative account for the company.
…that the agency who has held your account for five years was the one able to “demonstrate a level of thinking and consumer insight”…
If not, what the flip have they been doing on with your time and on your account for the last 3 years??
It’s almost like BMW didn’t want to move in the first place…
I wouldn’t want to miss all the free trips to Kittens either! Go Viz!
Congrats Vizeum
