Brisbane radio ratings: 4BC sees lift in final survey before Jones and Hadley shows start
ABC breakfast presenter Spencer Howson has retained the Breakfast crown in Brisbane, with a 13.7 per cent share, narrowly staving off 97.3FM’s breakfast team of Robin Bailey, Terry Hansen and Bob Gallagher.
The 97.3FM team came within a 0.1 per cent share point of toppling Howson, a feat they managed in November of 2014, with a 13.6 per cent share.
The second radio ratings survey of 2015 also saw troubled AM talk station 4BC lift its audience by 0.8 points to a 5.0 share, in what is the last survey before the impact of a major shakeup at the station, which will see it get much of its Breakfast and Mornings content from Sydney.
Overall ARN’s 97.3FM retained the top commercial share in the market despite a 0.3 per cent point drop to 14.3.
The figures for Southern Cross Austereo stations hit105 and Triple M are pretty ordinary. Some big decisions to be made there regarding the hit rebrand. Can Hamish and Andy’s upcoming new Drive show save them? Maybe they’d be better in networked breakfast?
