Brisbane Radio Ratings: Nova 106.9FM takes breakfast as Ray Hadley helps 4BC lift share
Nova’s Kip Wightman and David Lutteral ‘Kip & Luttsy’ have taken the radio breakfast crown in Brisbane from rivals 97.3FM posting a 13.5 per cent share in the timeslot against rivals Robin Bailey, Terry Hansen and Bob Gallagher who were on a 13 share.
This is the first time all year that Nova has won in the breakfast slot in Brisbane which came after a dramatic year for the breakfast show with fellow breakfast host Ashley Bradnam suspended by the station back in May after being charged with drink driving.
Today’s radio ratings also show Radio 4BC lifting its audience share 1.3 percentage points to a 6 share largely on the back of a surge in mornings, with a networked version of Macquarie Radio’s The Ray Hadley Morning show lifting its share in the timeslot 2.3 points to a 8.2 per cent share, the highest it has been in a number of years.
4BC’s breakfast slot, where Sydney 2GB’s Alan Jones breakfast program is being networked in, was also up 1 point, while local program Afternoons with Clare Blake was up 0.9 and Drive with Ben Davis up 0.2.
612Brisbane down, yes, but Spencer Howson still doing very well in breakfast. Glad to see you fixed the spelling of Wightman. You might also want to change Stuart Davidson to Stewart.
4MMM’s ad profile is so off-putting during the breakfast session. After you’ve listened a few times, you realize that the hosts are only talking for about 5 minutes each half hour. Booooring!
