Cancer Council urges Australians to Get2it with bowel cancer testing via Herd MSL
The Cancer Council and the Australian Government have released a new campaign via Herd MSL, urging the nation to Get2it and participate in the National Bowel Cancer Screening Program (NBCSP).
The campaign, launched in the lead-up to this Wednesday’s State of Origin decider, features NRL stars and commentator, Petero Civoniceva, Geoff Toovey and Andrew Voss to drive the message.
In the video, Civoniceva, Toovey and Voss are seen doing an instruction session, commentating on a bowel screening test, much like they would a footy match. In a light-hearted tone, the campaign urges not only Australians aged 50 and over to take the test, but also people around them to support the process.
Why does this advertisement not feature any women, they make up approximately 50% of all bowel cancer cases, this will only contribute to existing ignorance in the community, Cancer Council should know better
