‘Can’t’ campaign releases stunt video
The advertiser behind the ‘Can’t’ teaser campaign – predicted to be CommBank after Westpac ruled itself out yesterday – has released a video of people dressed as lollipop ladies holding traffic signs branded with the word ‘Can’t’.
In the video, the lollipop ladies block the path of passers-by in a city believed to be Perth.
The video was emailed to Mumbrella journalists this afternoon with the subject line ‘Can’t get through? with a link to the campaign website www.whatiscant.com.
I’m sorry, but this is the most boring secret campaign in the world.
I saw the bus ads at Wynyard and I can’t imagine a single person, apart from people in the ad industry, bothering to click through to the website.
Award winning stuff right there….

The microsite annoys me…… I cant do anything but share it, and why would i share it if i cant do anything?
Whoever the brand is… I’m going to like them less soon…..
Why would anyone give a fuck about this? I work in the industry and I don’t even care. Obviously a brand that’s very narcissistic.
The last shot is in front of Commonwealth Bank in Forrest Place Perth, we just ran a campaign there ourselves last month.

I saw a huge “CAN’T” at a bus stop and a link to the website. Still had no idea what it was about and I’m still not very sure what the proposition is….
i CANT wait to find myself a client like whoever is behind this one:

– myopic
– out of touch
Got to admire whoever managed to sell this as a good idea to a client.
I see the website button has zero tweets. You’d think the agency would do a couple just to save them the embarrassment of zero. File next to the Wake Up campaign. They should just throw their cash down the drain, it would be an easier way to get rid of it.
A whole bunch of can’ts. Could be fun. Let’s see where it leads.

Considering the ad spend mUmBRELLA said this campaign was worth, this is hardly an intriguing start… So far I couldn’t care less.
