Talking at a party for staff and supporters after yesterday’s big ratings numbers, a triumphant ARN boss Ciaran Davis has plenty to say about those who doubted the rebrand of Mix to Kiis. And memorable ways of saying it.
The defeat of 2DayFM by taking their star DJs Kyle and Jackie O was “chessmate”, Davis said.

I’d hate to be a direct rep at ARN right now – trying to tell your clients the rates are going to quadruple. And I wouldn’t think the agency reps would get ver far with that attitude either….
I’d really like to help Davis with his next pep talk to his people and to media buyers at large. Forget one horse ponies, spice it up with a few mixed metaphors like some of my personal favourites ….
