Clemenger Sydney MD Andrew Holt leaving after 18 months following agency reshuffle
Clemenger Sydney is understood to be abolishing the role of managing director with Andrew Holt leaving the agency after just 18 months.
Mumbrella understands Holt will step down in coming weeks.
His departure comes just 18 months after he was promoted from Clemenger BBDO Wellington in a group reshuffle prompted by the retirement of Melbourne CEO Peter Biggs.

Always interesting to see mumbrellas inconsistent use of ‘just’ when writing about people duration in a role. Today we have two articles next to each other, both relating to 18 month tenures however only one uses just.
Andy, Paul and Al are leading the helm – all overseen by Jim.
There is absolutely no problem with diversity in Australian agencies……!!!!!!!!!!!
That’s a shame. The old guard at Clemenger Sydney needed a shake up and Andrew seemed from the outside to be a good person to help do that.
So different genitalia would make a better agency?
Andrew is an excellent agency leader and an even better man. he’ll be an asset to whichever agency is lucky enough to hire him next
Yes Nic it would.
On The Rail, that’s just a mindless answer. Yes, there may be a ‘let’s have some drinks with the boys’ culture in adland, however a good thinker/doer/bring-something-to-the-table-that-no-one-else-is person will stand out… and get the job. Male or female, PC or no PC, stop spending time moaning and focus on what you can do… aside from getting surgery.
