Help give this Melbourne councillor a trip to Fox Studios

Melbourne City councillor, activist investor and founder of Crikey, Stephen Mayne, is the latest person to jump on the crowdsourcing bandwagon, asking people to kick in for a $3,000 trip to Fox Studios in Los Angeles.

However, the trip is not the jolly it might sound like for the man perhaps best known to many for being pushed off the stage by Glenn Milne at the 2006 Walkley Awards.

Mayne is looking to raise cash to fulfil the activist investor part of his Twitter bio by asking some awkward questions of News Corp and 21st Century Fox chairman, Rupert Murdoch, at its upcoming AGMs.
