Dentsu local CEO Angela Tangas moving to UK&I role amidst local transformation

Global Dentsu International CEO Wendy Clark has appointed ANZ CEO, Angela Tangas to the UK and Ireland top job within the Japanese holding group. She will depart in September, with a local replacement yet to be announced.

Tangas was appointed into her current role in November 2019, succeeding Henry Tajer in his short-lived stint, during a turbulent time for the group. Tangas will leave after making a string of senior appointments in recent months, restructuring the leadership team locally in the ANZ market.

Tangas replaced Tajer as CEO

This includes appointing Kirsty Muddle as group creative CEO, David Halter as chief strategy officer, and John Riccio joining CXM business Merkle as its new CEO. Riccio’s role was expanded to be president of Merkle APAC just under three months into the role. Chris Bower was also appointed Dentsu Solutions CEO in February.
