Dentsu to return to growth this quarter: CEO Rob Harvey

Dentsu in Australia and New Zealand has hit bottom and will show positive revenue growth in the final quarter of the calendar year, according to new group CEO Rob Harvey.

Harvey, speaking with Mumbrella in a sit-down interview at Dentsu’s Sydney headquarters, acknowledged the business’ financial struggle but said “Q4 will be strong for us”.

“I think we’re already seeing the bottom of that cycle,” he said, with “revenue forecast of positive growth in Q4 and heading into next year.”

The holdco’s global operations recently posted poor Q3 results, contrasting with its good home market performance in Japan. Of the global operations, Australia was called out in the last financial accounts as among the worst anywhere, with organic revenue recording a 10% drop year-on-year for the quarter.
