masterchef 2015 logoMasterchef continued its strong run breaking the million viewer mark on the traditionally quiet viewing night of Thursday, as Seven opted to rest House Rules.

Ten’s cooking show was the second most watched of the night with 1.025m in the 7.30pm to 8.30pm slot, while Nine’s Reno Rumble could only muster 765,000 viewers up against it, almost exactly the same audience it achieved last week.

Downton Abbey at 9pm on Seven picked up slightly from last week’s over night result with 629,000 viewers. However last week’s episode recorded a massive 308,000 catch-up viewers taking it to a total of 931,000, bumping it above Reno Rumble overall.

ABC’s light hearted consumer affairs show The Checkout dropped to 641,000 with a Best Before episode, after getting 723,000 in the 8.30pm slot last week, according to OzTam’s overnight metro ratings.
