Who says journalism is dumbing down?
Dr Mumbo’s was pleased Fairfax’s Sydney Morning Herald was on hand yesterday to bring us some of the details, sort of, of a girl of undisclosed age who was mercilessly savaged by a family pet.
However the pet in question wasn’t a pit bull terrier or rottweiller, but a duck.
as a 5 year old i was chased by an angry duck. Which is why i’m reduced to a quivering mess at the sight of Martin Sorrell
Any one at U o fQ circa 91-94 may remember the Goose with the malformed beak. That’s what happen’s when the buggers attack in the dark….., or so I’m told.
Duck season?
Ha, thats nothing, we had a news story on the Sunday night news (7 i think) about a child who had been injured during a football match, we even had a reporter live from the (empty) sports field.
we werent informed if it was a serious injury and there has been no follow up, so i can only assume it was a rather nasty twisted ankle.
Thank goodness the news team were able to leap into the car and get the story in!

The victim wasn’t admitted to hospital because her parents couldn’t pay the bill. I quack myself up sometimes. A bit of fluff reporting after reading some of Eric’s recent SMH stories.
