Ex Telstra content boss Chris Taylor takes helm at YuuZoo
Mobile media group YuuZoo is to move its global head office from Singapore to Sydney on a move which also sees former Telstra content boss Chris Taylor take the helm as CEO.
Taylor’s departure from Telstra was announced on Friday as part of a reshuffle which also sees much of marketing boss Amanda Johnston-Pell’s role taken away from her and handed to Mark Collis.
Taylor had led Telstra and BigPond’s video content push.
On its website, YuuZoo says it “offers media companies, Internet companies, or strong entrepreneurs keen to enter the mobile space the possibility to launch complete mobile channels, with content, applications, payment options and advertising platforms from the world’s leading developers, and to start making money immediately, simply by signing a franchise agreement”.
Taylor was director of Telstra Media. Prior to that, he had roles including Free TV and at PBL. He will start the new role on October 1.
Ron Creevey, founder of YuuZoo, said: “YuuZoo will be the first truly global new media company run out of Australia.
Well done Chris! Good luck……

What a bizarre move Chris! From the man who knew nothing about mobile in Telstra, to the CEO of a mobile downloads company. Wow!
