Fairfax Radio announces first change since Macquarie merger
The first changes to on-air line ups since the merger between Fairfax Radio and Macquarie Radio was announced at the end of last year have been announced, with Clive Robertson leaving Sydney’s 2UE station.
Moving into its 90th year the station has also gone to air with a new strapline ‘Sydney’s original 2UE 954’, which will also appear on a series of bus ads across the city, as the network looks to build audience share to increase ad revenues.
Robertson, who has hosted the nights show on the network on and off for several years, will be replaced by Walter Williams who is new to the station.
Other major shows including the breakfast slot with Gary Linnell and John Stanley as well as Stuart Bocking, Angela Catterns and Justin Smith, will all return.
Another year another lot of changes for 2ue. And the wonder why agencies don’t touch them.
Apart frim Walter Williams cming to 2UE the rest of te team will be the Same. Net 2GB will snap Clive Roberston up in no time at all and his listenerx will follow him across to 2GB.
Now Clive’s gone that’s one more reason to give 2ue a big miss. If you drop George and Paul I’ll have no reason to tune in at all. Will they ever learn!!!
