So You Think You Can Dance hits lows and highs as Seven’s share slumps

Ten posted its lowest ever ratings for So You Think You Can Dance last night with 278,000 metro viewers for the main show, however its audience lifted to 418,000 for the results announcement at the end of the program.

Ten then averaged 479,000 for Law and Order: SVU which followed the shiny floor show at 9.08pm, preliminary overnight metro ratings from OzTam show.

So You Think You Can Dance was moved from Sundays to the less competitive Thursday night timeslot last month and but has failed to recover in the new timeslot as it averaged 318,000 on March 20 and 333,000 last week. It launched to 466,000 viewers on February 10, and had previously been as low as 313,000.

Nine comfortably won the night with a share of 26.4 per cent, while Seven’s share plummeted to just 17.2 per cent. ABC1 had a 14.1 per cent audience share and Ten’s was 9.8 per cent.
