Netflix’s first commissioned Australian original series Tidelands has officially commenced production, 10 months after the program was first announced.
The supernatural crime drama is based out of Queensland, and will be comprised of eight 50-minute episodes. It is produced by Brisbane production agency Hoodlum.
Directed by Toa Fraser and written by creator of Secrets & Lies, Stephen Irwin, the series follows Charlotte Best, a young woman who returns to a small fishing village after 10 years in juvenile detention. When she returns home, Best finds a group of outcasts known as the Tidelanders.
