First Dates holds steady on second outing as I’m A Celebrity out-rated by Big Bang Theory
Seven’s reality show First Dates continued to attract viewers on its second outing, pulling in 877,000 metro viewers at 9:00pm, up slightly on last week’s debut audience of 874,000.
The show had a healthy lead-in audience thanks to My Kitchen Rules which saw 1.544m metro viewers tune in from 7:30pm.
This was slightly down on last week’s audience when MKR grabbed 1.574m.
Both shows helped Seven easily win the night, with an audience share of 28.3%, well ahead of closest rival Nine, which posted an audience share of 17.8%. Ten claimed third place with a share of 12.6% as the ABC settled for a share of 11.2%.
I have only just met the contestants on My Kitchen Rules but I have more emotionally invested in them than any of the “celebrities” on IACGMOOH.
Sometimes people walking down the street are more interesting than those who are constantly in the media.
Perhaps if IACGMOOH had nabbed a few pedestrians off George St it would be working out better for Ten.
I’m A Nobody… Get Me Out Of Here.
Hang on..?
First Dates – the ending is always sad. Rarely does anyone get together. It should be renamed ‘First Dates Only’. Why pair people from other states?
Re the success of First Dates, the message is clear. Put a muscle man in and watch the ratings soar.
