State government flu campaign ads rolled out on escalator handrails
The New South Wales Government has targeted a new medium – escalator handrail ads – to support an educational campaign to promote flu shots.
Ad-Roller, which installs ads on handrails, which run in a continuous loop, has targeted shopping centres around New South Wales that also have a medical centre attached with the campaign.
The campaign promotes the importance of flu jabs, with one-in-five people contracting seasonal influenza and up to 800 individuals dying from the flu every year.
Ad-Roller Australia director, Armin Kuhestani, said the medium was effective because people spent an average of 30 seconds standing on escalators and travelators.
