Footy podcasts sent to the blood bin in October
The Sports Entertainment Network Breakfast show is missing the footy
If your podcast has “footy” in the title, but there’s no footy happening, will people tune in? That question has been answered on the October Podcast Ranker, which saw football-based shows mauled and a number retired to the sheds as soon as the final whistle was blown.
Sports Entertainment Network (SEN) Breakfast’s mighty crash from #10 in September — during the spiky end of both the NRL and AFL seasons — to #30 was one of the bigger falls from grace in the October “Australian Made” podcast ranker (which excludes overseas shows locally represented in this market).
Aside from that move, the top 10 was stable: the entire top nine remained the same, with Listnr’s The Imperfects shuffling up two spots to replace SEN’s show at #10.
