Ford v Ferrari shoots to the top of the Australian box office, trumping Charlie’s Angels reboot

Ford v Ferrari, the American drama film showing the battle by Henry Ford II and Lee Iacocca to build the Ford GT40 and finally defeat the Ferrari racing team in 1966, has skyrocketed to the top of the Australian box office in its first week, taking $2.581m across 468 screens.

The film topped the newest Charlie’s Angels reboot, which also premiered this weekend and managed $1.687m across 390 screens.
