Former Nine sales lead Richard Hunwick announces next move

Former Nine sales lead Richard Hunwick has announced his next move just months after leaving the media giant.

Hunwick, announced his resignation from Nine following 13 years with the company, has confirmed he has joined leading technology platform Adgile as its chief commercial officer.

He joined the network as director of sales in Brisbane, working his way up over a decade to become national director of sales for television and radio before his last promotion in 2022, which saw him oversee all total television sales.

Effective September 9, Hunwick’s arrival marks a pivotal moment for Adgile as it prepares to accelerate its growth trajectory into 2025 and beyond.

Adgile’s founder, Shaun Lohman, highlighted the strategic importance of this appointment.

“As digital transformation accelerates and new streaming platforms emerge, our platform’s ability to integrate BVOD, SVOD, and Digital Video with Linear Television is becoming increasingly vital for advertisers aiming to maximise their business outcomes in this new media landscape.”

He emphasised the company’s commitment to expanding its platform and applying proprietary Intelligent Content Recognition (ICR) technology across more channels, aiming to offer real-time, data-driven insights for improved effectiveness and ROI.

Hunwick will join Adgile’s executive leadership team alongside Lohman, chief customer officer Craig Service, and chief operating officer Mark Schanzl.

Adgile currently partners with over 300 advertisers and multiple agencies and publishers in the Australian market.
