Former Salesforce execs launch consultancy specialising in data and marketing
Three former Salesforce executives have joined forces to launch a new consulting agency specialising in data and marketing, Mumbrella can reveal.
Created by Ian Calpin, former RVP of partner sales, Vlad Silak, former director of partner development and enablement, and Rich Wright, ex-director of Marketing Cloud and Data Cloud delivery, carbonx Data & Marketing is described to help clients learn, understand, and integrate Salesforce’s Data Cloud and Marketing Cloud suites, including Einstein, AI, and Agents.

The trio’s new venture has been backed by Beryl8, Salesforce’s largest independent partner in Asia, and has garnered support from a network of resources “ready to be deployed”, providing it with a strong foundation for expansion across APAC.
“We’re thrilled to introduce carbonx Data & Marketing to the APAC market, and offer something truly different in this space,” Rich Wright, CXO of carbonx, told Mumbrella.

Carbonx aims to help organisations maximise the potential of their Salesforce investments, by integrating Data Cloud for improved data strategies, optimising Marketing Cloud for personalised engagement, and harnessing AI for predictive insights and automation.
“Since 2020 there has been a boom of pandemic-fuelled CX investments as brands raced to improve their digital experience for customers during lockdown, we now are seeing an alarming amount of underutilised tech out there in the landscape,” managing director of carbox, Ian Calpin explained.
“Putting this tech to work, and finding a way of making this sustainable for customers is the key principle upon which cxD&M was founded. With the proliferation of Gen AI, leaders need to get their data and application layer under control, before considering what’s next.”
Vlad Silak, CTO, added: “Carbonx is not just another Salesforce consultancy. Our focus is on assisting our clients with integrating Data Cloud, Marketing Cloud and wider Salesforce capabilities into their technical ecosystem.

The consultancy has opened its doors to Australia and New Zealand, and has positioned itself for rapid growth in APAC.
