Foxtel releases new campaign to launch Foxtel Now

Foxtel has launched its new subscription streaming offering, Foxtel Now, with a new TVC campaign.
Created by TBWA the 30-second TVC features a woman asking “Did you watch it?”, jumping to a man continuing her sentence.
The advertisement finishes with a group of people speaking in harmony as they say “Spaghetti bolognese”.
The ad promotes Foxtel Now by telling people to “try it” with a two-week free trial.
Foxtel Now, which was officially launched during Foxtel’s rebrand last week, is the expansion of the Foxtel Play streaming service and includes bundles which allow HD streaming services and streaming via Google Chromecast.
Peter Tonagh, Foxtel CEO, said in a statement: “Foxtel Now is here and we’re thrilled to share it with customers hungry for the best choice in live sport, new movies, TV and complete seasons.
“Foxtel Now represents our most flexible and affordable entertainment service and brings with it HD streaming, a great new look and feel and the freedom to jump in and out based on your viewing preferences.”
The new service ranges from drama and pop packs priced at $15 per month and documentary and kids packs for $10 per month.
The movie pack is $20 per month on top of any starter pack, while the sports pack is an added $29 per month.

That logo is amaturish. Who approved that?
That ‘Try It’ spot is shameful. Who approved that?
Am trialing. Is shyte. Wanted to watch live NRL and kept dying. The only reason I wanted it.
I am a foxtel play subscriber and foxtel now has removed 19 channels, i can no longer watch SyFy,Binge,Boxsets,CNN, World Movies,Max, MTV Music and MTV Dance and to top that all of my subscription price is still the same, no drop in price.
Peter Tonagh, Foxtel CEO, said in a statement: “Foxtel Now is here and we’re thrilled to share it with customers hungry for the best choice in live sport, new movies, TV and complete seasons.
apparently the Best choice is less than a choice than i already had!!
I have foxtel and no drop in price and remember foxtel there is better stuff out there now I am going to ring them up and if they don’t drop there price I am going been with you for about 9 years now
When foxtel stop producing stupid, unoriginal ads is when I’ll start paying for Game of Thrones. Until then……
We are walking. No notification and most of the channels we watched are now gone…… and now so are we! Disgusting lack of consideration for existing customers and no change in pricing. Appalling business practices!!!!
Ho-hum! More of the same …. no, less of the same, actually! Foxtel Gone would be a more appropriate rebranding option in the modern world the rest of us inhabit. PJ O’Rourke’s observation that hubris is one of the great renewable resources seems fitting in this case.
This ad is stupid
I don’t understand the ad….
What a stupid ad
I actually just googled ‘can anyone explain the new Foxtel advert’….
Really think the agency that created this got a little bit carried away with their own clever dick selves and forgot to try and sell something…or at the very least inform someone.
Useless
Who is the lead actress in this ad?
Me neither. It frustrates me.
What is spaghetti bolognese referring to?
Agree…. frustrating asb and useless, unless we’re all stupid or something but doubt it….
I would also like to know this. I feel as though she was on The Voice or one of those singing competition shows.
HAHA! So did I and that’s how I landed here. I’m still needing it explained to me.
Another person searching for what exactly this ad is trying to say… I feel like they’re telling us we’re all lemmings watching the same shows?!
Who is the Actress ? maybe she prefers to remain unknown?
the advert says it all, continual repeats
Honestly – I just registered so I could say how utterly woeful this ad is. TBWA are a bunch of talentless muppets.
