Foxtel to launch seven new channels
Foxtel has announced seven new channels will be added to its lineup over the coming months, with content from studios such as ITV, NBC Universal, BBC Studios, and Warner Bros. Discovery.
The new linear channels include British, Real History, Real Crime, Famous, Travel, Fashion TV, and DocPlay – all of which are rather self-explanatory.
The first four channels (British, Real History, Real Crime, Famous) will join the service from August 1, with Fashion TV launching August 6, Travel on August 15, and DocPlay on September 3.
They don’t say anything about the channels we would be loosing
The new channels might offer an alternative but it not what we want and some shows they mentioned like docuplay you have to pay for this
The service now is crap and there is more and more adds on the shows which is very annoying worse than free to air
I will be thinking about cancelling Foxtel soon
Also what is the war between Telstra and Foxtel they now don’t support each other on service and apps
No mention that the A&E Network channels are closing such as History and C+I. Foxtel isn’t renewing the output deal. Fetch or Stan will grab it
They already have a true crime channel. So will this just be a rebranding? They used to have the low value steaming channel Fashion TV channel up until a few years ago. So that’s a waste of time. It’s all very meh and won’t stop the flow of people unsubscribing.
No Foxtel No TV.
Too little too late, they will continue to leak subscribers (myself included). DocPlay seems to have some good content however Foxtel with their greed and contempt will not include that for free. It will be an extra cost.
These channels all sound tailored to their aging, 50+ YO subscribers. I can’t see them appealing to any young eyeballs though to help curb their already hemorrhaging subscriptions, seems like a bit of a waste of time, money & effort.
No Beinsports/tennis ?. ….. No Foxtel!!!!!!…
Very poor service, no decent sports programs changing channels without notification without considering what viewers want, now considering cancelling my subscription, not happy.
