‘Give the people what they want’: That Bunnings rave with Peking Duk and What So Not is on

Hardware and garden centre chain Bunnings has confirmed it will host a highly-anticipated rave.

The idea took off in April when Sydney music producer Kaila’s remix of Bunnings’ advertising jingle went viral on TikTok, amassing over 400,000 views and prompting calls from Peking Duk and fellow Aussie act What So Not for the company to host a rave.

Fans also rallied online, leading to more than 2 million people urging Bunnings to host the event.

Now, after weeks of uncertainty, a Bunnings spokesperson has confirmed the concept will now become a reality in late August.

Peking Duk, What So Not and Kaila are all confirmed to perform at the event, with more local names to be added.

“We have loved seeing all Aussie music lovers across the country share their enthusiasm for a Bunnings rave,” a Bunnings spokesperson told Mumbrella.

“So it comes with great excitement to confirm that together with Peking Duk, What So Not and Kaila, we’ve found a way to give the people what they want – the Bunnings Warehouse Party is happening.”

Peking Duk took to social media to update their fans, with Reuben Styles stating: “Bunnings have listened – we’re doing this. We still don’t know where so pick a State, pick a spot, pick a Bunnings, where do you wanna do this party?”

TGI Sport is the brand and activation company helping to bring this event to life.
