Google launches ‘enhanced campaigns’ for Adwords
Just a day after Google won a major victory in the High Court, the company has announced major changes to its AdWords platform.
The changes will help advertisers target ads across multiple platforms and help one of Google’s major advertising platforms to cater better to the needs of brands.
“We’re updating Adwords to work better in a multi-screen world,” said AdWords specialist Kate Conroy.
“When it was created over a decade ago most people didn’t have a laptop let alone two smartphones, a tablet, computer, and so on.”
One word – AdBlock
Adblock will destroy online ads the way the remote control killed TV ads.
@Marty – You’re probably one of those people that still believe online marketing / advertising is all about “pop-ups” aren’t you?? Keep using your little ad blocker and watch how the quality of content of the internet dives… yet again, you’re almost certainly someone who believes the internet should be free with no ads. On ya!
Of the billions of internet users, how many even have adblock?
If everyone used adblock, websites would likely respond with plain text ads, product placement and advertorials.
Is it the same person who just posts “adblock” the whole time?
If ad blocking becomes too prevalent, and it really isn’t, then sites will just serve their content through an ad server so you can’t read it unless you unblock.
No problem.
The real issue with this Adwords video is – what is the guy searching for in the dark, after a few drinks, on the street and typing “power tool hire”.
I suspect he’s looking for a different type of power tool than Google thinks, perhaps The Tool Shed – http://www.toolshed.com.au/
YAY @Simon – @Marty and @LB, might be time to catch up with the real world.
I think I will just continue on my merry way delivering great ROI for my clients through AdWords and leave you to your AdBlock 🙂
