Hamish and Andy go out with 883,000

The finale of Hamish and Andy’s Gap Year on Nine attracted an audience of 883,000, ranking it seventh most-watched for Thursday night.

The audience was a long way from its debut of 1.45 million but it had the highest five-city metro ratings  for the 18-49, 16-39 and 25-54 demographics, according to preliminary metro ratings from OzTam.

Beauty and the Geek Australia on Seven saw its audience fall from its debut of 927,000 last week to 804,000. It was up against a three-hour grand final special of The Footy Show on Nine in Melbourne and Adelaide.

The Footy Show pulled 973,000 in five-city metro numbers.
