How radio will make some noise during The Ashes
Who needs pictures when you've got words?
When examining coverage of the summer’s biggest sports media event – the five Ashes Tests between Australia and England, all played on Australian ground – it is easy to focus on the television coverage – as Mumbrella did extensively on Monday.
But Australia’s biggest brands understand consumers will find it hard to commit to watching television for six hours a day for the 25 scheduled days of Ashes action (although many will give it a red-hot go).
This is where audio comes into its own. Commercial radio rights for coverage of The Ashes is split between SCA’s Triple M and Listnr networks, and the Sports Entertainment Network (SEN) radio network.
