Hungry Jack’s announces new chips with anti-seagull packaging

Hungry Jack’s has launched a new range of thicker chips complete with “reflective anti-seagull packaging” it claims will protect customers from being dive-bombed by birds.

The campaign took to air with the special packaging available in a number of high-traffic stores where gulls are a major problem, including Sydney’s Circular Quay and Manly, Surfer’s Paradise in Queensland and Seaforth in South Australia.

In a move that appears to give the claim some credibility, the burger chain has recruited the vice president of the Blue Mountains Bird Observer’s Club, Graham Blackwell, to help promote the innovation in a Youtube video.
