Sharon Cookson has been installed as the managing director of Ikon’s Melbourne office as Trudi Sampola has been moved to a new national role.

Mumbrella understands the changes are part of a wider overhaul of the agency being driven by Ikon CEO James Greet as he looks to stabilise the agency following the ousting of the majority of the management team, including CEO Dan Johns and national digital director Ellie Rogers and culture director Leonie Kerley, a year ago.

Sampola has been moved to the role of chief talent officer for the agency, which has a national remit, with agency director Cookson stepping in as managing director of the office.
