Imperial Leather recreates classic ’70s ‘Tahiti, Simon’ ad
Imperial Leather has recreated a classic campaign from the 1970’s in which a decadent family take a bath in their private jet.
Created by DDB Melbourne, the new version is based on the original premise that Imperial Leather is an everyday luxury, and marks the launch of Cussons Imperial Leather Foamburst.

The campaign also marks the celebration of Imperial Leather’s half century in Australia.
Excellent – producer surname is fawcett, does she do all her work in bathrooms?
Little Imperial Leather fact for you – that bit of paper? The annoying one on the soap that doesn’t come off?
The idea is that you put it sticker side DOWN, and the soap dries quicker, doesn’t stick to the dish, slides around less, and lasts much longer. It becomes like a little holder for the soap.
Now you know…
(Sorry, been wanting to share that for ages).
1978 version – best. ad. ever.
It’s the Dairy Farmers Rise smoothie guy!
Looks like that kid’s gunna get speared by that swan’s beak! I love the suspense!

I didn’t understand that they were already on the plane. The 1978 ad communicates this better.
