Jean Claude Van Damme declares war on bad DVDs
Film star Jean Claude Van Damme features in a new ad from Iris Sydney for Sony Pictures Home Entertainment offering five dollars cashback to customers who hand in old DVDs.
The ad features Van Damme pounding a punchbag as he rants about bad movies.
Pretty Sure Van Damme is responsible for some terrible movies…. They should have used Steven Seagal… oh wait…
I like it. But I would have liked it more if I hadn’t already derived much pleasure from Droga 5s/Virgin’s “Apology for Bad Music” campaign which used Vanilla Ice.
Strong integrated idea with a relevant extention into social media too. Good work Iris…

Some of my favorute JCVD titles in the following order
1. Street Fighter (recognised as the worst movie of all by Empire, time i think)
2. In Hell
3. Derailed <- that's a whopper!
4. Replicant <- he beds two girls one-after-the-other in the space of 15 seconds of movie gold dust.
Anything pre-1999 was simply crap-tastic. AWOL, Legionnaire, Blood Sport, Death Warrent, Double Impact, Hard Tareget, Time Cop (Oh, Time Cop!) and the Quest… Where would my childhood be without that bag of goodies!
