Jodie Sangster to step down as ADMA CEO after seven years
Long-standing Association for Data-driven Marketing and Advertising (ADMA) CEO Jodie Sangster is stepping down from ADMA at the end of April after seven years of leading the organisation to join IBM’s Watson AI division.
Sangster will also be stepping down from the Australian Alliance for Data Leadership (AADL), the umbrella group overseeing ADMA and a group of other digital industry associations, with one-time head of media at 303Lowe, Steve Sinha taking over her roles on an interim basis.

Outgoing ADMA boss Sangster: “An incredible seven years leading such significant change”
Great work Jodie
Jodie was a breath of fresh air for ADMA and she demonstrated grit, persistence and foresight in the transformation she has achieved there. Wishing her all the best in her future endeavours at IBM Watson.
Many DMA’s around the world missed the pivot to digital, and failed to lead their members through that material transformation. Arguably, the US DMA, which Jodie left to take the helm at ADMA, missed the pivot and spent years trying to regain relevancy. Conversely, immediately after taking over ADMA, Jodie rebranded, making it clear that data driven marketing was the core of the organization, as addressability prevailed across all media during her term. Jodie’s vision and passion brought a much needed jolt to the industry, to the benefit of many member firms who successfully made the pivot themselves, and countless young people who were guided and educated by ADMA as they entered their careers. Jodie has done a great service to the ADMA organization, to the industry, and to the Australian business and education communities overall. Her tenure of leadership will leave a mark well beyond her seven years. And I look forward to seeing how she will continue that leadership and contribution through her new platform at IBM Watson. Well done Jodie Sangster!!!
