Jonathan Kearsley leaving Nine for Sky News

Nine’s US correspondent Jonathan Kearsley is leaving the network to join Sky News Australia as its Washington reporter.

Kearsley’s defection was first reported on the weekend by News Corp paper The Australian, and was confirmed to Mumbrella by Nine.

Fiona Dear, Nine’s executive director of news and current affairs, told Mumbrella: “While we’re sad to see him go, we respect his decision and wish him and his family all the best.”
