Josh Thomas is back for Optus, promoting telco’s 4G Plus Network while skydiving
Optus brand ambassador Josh Thomas is back and this time he’s sky-diving while he promotes the telco’s 4G Plus network.
Created by M&C Saatchi, it’s the first spot featuring the comedian this year and follows on from several appearances in a variety of ads last year, including the telco’s Christmas ad.

At the end of last year, Optus awarded its Business account to OgilvyOne following a pitch and its direct marketing account to The Works following a separate pitch.
I cant stand that Josh Thomas guy. His mere voice fills me with hatred and I loathe Optus as a brand consequently.
Well done!
Bizarre choice. Nothing redeeming about him at all. Well done Optus.
Good luck to him but he puts me off the product.
Could not agree more with the above comments, Josh Thomas brings no value to the brand, his voice is annoying but then again it’s similar to Optus and it’s internet service .. Well below par.
Larry and Jerry – hope you enjoy the free sandwiches at tonight’s focus group in Paramatta.
Aww gee don’t be so mean. I like to think of Josh as a sort of cheeky nephew.
Great comment from Fan!
You’re a bit slow this time, mumBrella. This ad’s been on TV now for about two weeks.
Just plain awful.. dumbest selection of talent EVER!
Hi Magus,
We only spotted it earlier this week and tried to get a few more details from Optus and M&C before posting – the problems with fragmentation I guess.
Cheers,
Alex – editor, Mumbrella
Good to see I’m not the only one disappointed by Josh Thomas as brand ambassador for Optus. His squeaky voice and unfunny humour is irritating no end.
