Jules Lund and Fifi Box to helm Today Network’s national drivetime show
Jules Lund – whose media career was launched when he won Fox FM’s Fifteen Days Of Fame contest in 2001 – is returning to Austereo as co-presenter of the Today Network’s drivetime show with Fifi Box.
The announcement was made on this afternoon’s Hamish & Andy show.
Next year will see Hamish Blake and Andy’s Lee’s number one rating show reduced to one day a week. Fifi & Jules will run from 4-6pm Monday to Thursday, with Hamish & Andy in the same timeslot on Fridays.
I’ve never been a fan of Hamish and Andy, but this news makes me wish they weren’t leaving.
There was also word that an announcement regarding Triple M drive was also on the way.

Hopefully Roy and HG get moved on; good once every four years, not so much twice a week.
nobody cares.who are these people–people are creating and looking at there own ent,on yt and other sites–we dont need a old fashion medium with ads every 6 minutes–consider the show cancelled after 6 weeks.
Hamish and Andy were naturals on the radio. Box is forced laughter and forced hillarity. Watch the ratings drop big time.
Finally a chance for the underperforming Nova network to gain some ground.
Fifi actually absolutely NOTHING to the conversation.
All she does is sit there and giggle into the microphone, adding a vague banal comment in every now and then.

Was quite happy to hear the Fifi and Jules will now be on 4-6pm weekdays. I always enjoy listening to Fifi on a Saturday morning. Can’t wait!! Something to drive me home from work — woohoo! I hope Pearl gets to make the occasional appearance too!
i love Fifi box, she is so funny on a saturday morning. I will miss Hamish and Andy but im looking forward to see what these guys do 🙂
I like the way Austereo managed the change. It’s better than reading a press release that says ” such and such are leaving to pursue other opportunities and won’t be heard on air with “X” station after their shift today, we thank them for their contribution etc etc….or the one that you get for brekky shows that says from the talent ” I’m looking forward to sleeping in and spending quality time with my family, driving my kids to school, blah blah blah….”
I liked it when Jamie Dunn earlier this year said,” they sacked us “…it was honest despite what the “official” line said.
As for pre-judging a show before it starts….I think most people have clouded crystal balls that they so reliably refer to and it appears far more pragmatic to wait and see and listen…. and then see what the ratings say.
I don’t know how to feel about this. I really like Fifi and Jules as presenters but it sounds pretty tricky for Jules to be managing a job on Getaway and such an important show – but he is a clever man and high achiever so I am sure it will all be managed in great style.

And the amazing Hamish and Andy will be missed.

I change stations on a saturday because of Fifi Box, she is sooo annoying, whiney voice & giggles all the time. You will lose me on the drive home aswell now!!

Jules Lund isnt female, he is one of the reporters on Getaway. they are both close friends of H&A so not a surprising choice at all really.
I’m usually a big fan of 2day fm but this will ruin everything!!!

The “people” will always make or break the success of any show.
If we dont tune in – it wont succeed.
Management dont always get it right – even a donkey would know that.
Carmen I have to say I actually like Sophie Monk on the morning show, shes easy to listen to & down to earth, very natural. Fifi box is the exact opposite of that!
Fifi as a replacement is a big mistake. It is always all about her…….And the laugh is annoying.
I only listen to 2DAY FM on the drive home – just because of Hamish & Andy. I won’t be tuning in at all when they leave. Can’t stand Kyle & Jackie O, and on the odd occasion I’ve been subjected to Fifi Box on a Saturday, I’ve rushed to change the station. Goodbye 2DAY.
The listeners have spoken and I now bet that on the 23 November 2011 the Box and Jules show is a distant memory.

Today will struggle with this team. H&A were awesome – one of a kind. Nova will do well out of this.
I’ll be changing because I find FiFi box soooo very annoying all she ever does is obsess over finding a man which makes her sound sooo desperate no wonder no guy ever sticks around, and giggle, she’s not funny, and she’s not entertaining, plus she never pronounces “ing” properly she always drops the “G” it drives me crazy!!!. I always put a cd in on Saturday morning guess I’ll be doing that every day but Friday. Not happy about loosing Hamish and Andy.
I only listened to today FM for Hamish and Andy. Overall the music is horrid, the ads are too many and I cannot stand Kyle and Jackie O. Going to give Lund and Box a chance, but matching up to H&A? It’s not looking to great.
Time for underrated Nova to shine.

Hamish and Andy were the only reason to listen to 2dayFM, Fifi is unbelievably annoying and has no chance of filling the shoes of the almighty Hamish and Andy.
fifi on seven annoys me i just watched her today interview with keith urban, since interviewing russel brand and he pulled that stunt on her (when he was fake making out with her). She thinks she’s some hot piece, she wouldn’t stop smiling at him, watch keith he cant even look at her for more than a couple of seconds and anyway she,s a unprofessional twit which annoys me watching her interview. One more thing i cant believe shes taking hamish and andy time slots they are legend anyway she should stay behind the radio where people cant see her smug face! Arrrrgggghh…….peace
